The Ethernet option is definitely preferable as getting a good wifi signal through double brick walls is no good. Is it possibly that the iPhone and the app are not 100% compatible? Is there another way to resolve this annoying problem in what otherwise is a good system. Sometimes deleting and re installing the app fixes the issue but not always. Sometimes when a camera goes offline it will connect via the app, but if after 3 days it remains offline, then I disconnect it and try to re - pair. Presently one of the Alert cameras is offline and won’t re-pair.

The iPhone had no trouble seeing the camera’s wifi signature, but the app still says “ unable to connect “ I have eight cameras, 4 are Spotcam and are connected via the Ethernet cable and 4 are Indoor Alert types.
